We are enjoying our spring RV trip to the Southeast U.S.. First stop was New Orleans, LA. We stayed at the French Quarter RV Park which is located across the street from the quarter. It is also in the middle of some of New Orleans' most famous cemeteries.

We ate a wonderful meal at Emeril's in the warehouse district. My daughter used her restaurant influence to make the reservation. It was a special and wonderful first night in the Big Easy. The food was fantastic.

Saturday brought a guided tour of the French Quarter with Joanna. Cafe DuMonde was crowded, so Joanna recommended a "local" place which had wonderful pastries and coffee. I always take pictures of my food because that is one of my favorite parts of the trip. Here is a pic of my coffee and Quiche Lorraine.

Some pictures of the quarter. Although the weather was cold and rainy, we had a very good long walk. The quarter is always enjoyable in the day time.

A new park just opened a block from our RV park. It is Louis Armstrong Park and it was beautiful. Melissa and Joanna got into the spirit by joining a parade.

Later in the day, we visited Joanna and David's house in Mid-City and ate at a local hangout called Parkway. I had a huge shrimp poboy, but it was too big to take a picture. We got to see their new cat, Dinger, and had a good visit. Both Joanna and David love their jobs, their neighborhood, their friends and their cats. We are so happy for them.
Sunday, we loaded up and drove to Destin, Fla., but that is for another blog. BYE
